The UN International Decade for People of African Descent (2015–2024) put recognition, justice and development for Black people worldwide at its centre. As the decade closed, Bantu e.V. used Black Engagement Matters to strengthen the volunteer engagement of Black communities in Germany.

  • 10 Black resource persons were trained to carry knowledge and structures into their communities.
  • 30 Black organisations from across Germany were connected with each other.
  • A closing conference brought the results together and strengthened cooperation beyond the project.
