we would like to sincerely thank you for supporting our organization. We value and recognise every small contribution. It allows us to continue with our work, but also – and most importantly – creates a community spirit that makes us stronger and more motivated. We strongly believe that together we can achieve a lot, regardless of geogra-phical and cultural background. This sense of unity is what inspired the name of our organization: the word Abantu (or “Bantu”) is used in various languages in the sub-Saharan region and means “people”. Another value we base our work on is Ubuntu. This word, which comes from the isiZulu and isiXhosa languages, refers to the qualities of generosity, consideration and humanity. It expresses the belief that a human being cannot exist in isolation.
