Projects for Black mothers, parents and families under our fiscal sponsorship
As fiscal sponsor we enabled projects of tubman.network – including the Mama Circle for mothers who fled war and the ParentCircle for BIPoC parents.
From 2021 until January 2024, Bantu e.V. was the fiscal host of Tubman.Network – a network supporting Black parents, families and communities. In January 2024 Tubman.Network was registered as an independent non-profit association (tubman.network e.V.). We continued to manage individual ongoing projects until 2025 – most recently the ParentCircle (2024–2025, funded by Stiftung Nord-Süd-Brücken). As fiscal sponsor we managed the grants, prepared financial reports and handled staff and contracts. More about tubman.network: tubman.network.
Funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, African and Afro-diasporic mothers who had fled war met every Sunday in the Mama Circle in Berlin:
The result: a stable social network and stronger mother–child bonds.
At weekly meetings, BIPoC parents found community, mutual support and shared strategies for dealing with everyday discrimination.
