Digital skills shape educational and job opportunities – yet in rural areas even access to a computer is often missing. With our partner ABI we therefore set up a Community Resource Centre next to Rwengoma Primary School in Ruhaama (Ntungamo district).

  • Phase 1 (P 21/23): setting up and equipping the centre with computers and e-learning for people of all ages.
  • Phase 2 (P 22/29, until December 2023): consolidation, IT courses and tutoring.

Results

  • 225 participants took IT courses, 175 graduated with a certificate.
  • 350 pupils were reached through tutoring.
  • The centre has remained a community meeting place – in 2024 the participants of our youth exchange celebrated International Women’s Day there.
