New project in Burundi: Water for Ruziba
With our partner WIV-HR we are building a solar-powered drinking water supply for around 900 people in Bujumbura.
In the Ruziba neighbourhood of Bujumbura, many families have so far used the polluted water of the Mugere river. Together with the Burundian organisation WIV-HR, a borehole with a solar pump, a 5,000-litre elevated tank and three taps is now being built – designed for 150 households with around 900 people.
The project is funded by the EZ-Kleinprojektefonds of the Stiftung Nord-Süd-Brücken. Donations with the reference “Wasser Ruziba” go to the project.
